MEMBER BENEFITS FOR OUR Belfast Practice
In our Belfast practice we have a membership plan run through Quality Plan. For a low monthly payment which works out at about 40 pence per day, our patients have the security of knowing that their routine dental examinations, all small X-Rays and two dentist cleanings are paid for. After that they will receive 20% off the dental fees for all necessary treatments, including hygienist sessions, as well as 10% off non-essential treatments.
In the event of an emergency where your dentist has to re-open the surgery at the weekend or during public holidays, the scheme pays the entire call-out fee of £150. The scheme also provides cover in the event of a dental emergency anywhere in the world, although you will have to pay your fees to the treating dentist and then claim it back from the scheme. There is also oral cancer cover, trauma cover as well as hospital benefits. Please let us know if you want to join this very popular scheme for all the benefits of practice membership.

MEMBER BENEFITS FOR Our Downpatrick Practice
Our Downpatrick practice offers two tiers of membership through Denplan, and we will help you decide which scheme is best for you. Denplan Essentials is very similar in its cover to our Quality Plan scheme in Belfast. Patients pay a fee which works out at around 40 pence per day, and for this their annual dental examinations, small X-Rays and cleanings by their dentist are covered. Again any necessary dental treatment after that is discounted by 20%, with non-essential treatments discounted by 10%. Again the scheme pays the full call-out fee for Essentials patients in the event of the dentist on call having to re-open the surgery at the weekends or on public holidays.
Denplan Care provides a different type of cover, and the monthly fee here is determined by the patient's dental history so the fees will vary individually. The main benefit of this 'full cover' scheme is that it pays for all necessary treatments provided by the dentist, and the only extra fees are those for laboratory items, root canal files, and in the event of an emergency call out, there is a small fee of £20 which the patient pays. The remaining £135 is paid by the scheme. Non-essential treatments such as whitening or cosmetic fillings are discounted by 10-20% as a 'loyalty' bonus for our patients.
We tend to think that the 'Essentials' scheme works well for clients who have fewer fillings and good dental health whereas the 'Care' scheme works well for clients who have a more extensive dental history. We will be happy to advise you as to which scheme works best for you. There are pros and cons for each scheme, but in either case the benefits are excellent for our patients.
